The Swiss Pavilion 2019 ends on a high note!
The Swiss Pavilion 2019 presentation of ‘Moving Backwards’ by Pauline Boudry / Renate Lorenz curated by Charlotte Laubard was incredibly well received by both Swiss and international press and was included in many top pavilion features.
The international press said:
“It is all very arch, queer and understated, a dance of lovers and unlovers, going forwards and inexorably moving backwards.” – Adrian Searle, The Guardian
“It sounds daunting, but their film installation is both mesmerising and exhilarating at turns.” – The Art Newspaper
"This video-art dance protest is potentially the buzziest project of the biennale. Moving Backwards, which has dancers moving to trap beats and techno in reverse, could be the next big dance move. The deeper meaning? It symbolizes resistance against regressive politics.” – Nadja Sayej, W Magazine
