55th International Art Exhibition - la Biennale di Venezia

The 55th International Art Exhibition takes place in Venice from 1 June to 24 November, 2013 at the Giardini and at the Arsenale as well as in various venues the city. Preview dates: 29, 30 and 31 May 2013. The main exhibition is curated by Massimiliano Gioni.
Valentin Carron has been selected to represent Switzerland. Living and working in the vineyard village of Fully in the Rhone valley, Carron is an outstanding figure in the young Swiss arts scene. His show at the Swiss pavilion will be curated by Giovanni Carmine.
Art historian Jörg Scheller is the curator of the «Salon Suisse» 2013, a programme of talks and events supplementing the exhibition at the Swiss Pavilion, which takes place at the Palazzo Trevisan degli Ulivi.
